HOMEMADE REMEDY FOR DRY, CHAPPED LIPS

I believe everyone loves to have soft, smooth and kissable lips. And for ladies your lipstick or lip gloss looks very tacky when your lips are cracked and dry.

To have smooth and soft lips you need to exfoliate them like you do your skin. It takes only 5 minutes twice a week to pamper your lips using products you can easily find in your kitchen.

My favorite lip exfoliation trick is:1 teaspoon olive oil mixed with 1 teaspoon honey mixed with 1 teaspoon brown sugar. Put this mixture on an old toothbrush and gently...and i mean GENTLY scrub your lips in circular motion.

Why It Works

Olive Oil: Natural source of Vitamin E which is good for your skin

Honey: Humectant that draws moisture to your lips leaving it plump and soft.

Brown Sugar: A natural Exfoliant; remove dry skin from your lips.

After rinsing it off, moisturize your lips with a good balm like Vaseline Lip Therapy Advanced Formula or Burt's Bees Pomegranate Lip Balm

I have read and seen a few lip exfoliating products online and in stores and I've tried one or two but nothing gives me a better and cheaper result like my olive oil, brown sugar and honey mix.

How To Get a Perfect Manicure

If you are someone like me with an unsteady hand, then you know how messy giving yourself a manicure can be. There you are with a lovely nail polish that would look nice if only you can steady your hand and not paint on the skin around your nails. You wish you knew a how to get a perfect manicure and not make a mess.

The Vaseline Nail Polish Trick

What You Need:

Vaseline (or any good petrolatum cream )

Q-tip

How to Get a Perfect Manicure:

1.) Dab the Q-tip in the Vaseline or cream

2.) Carefully wipe Q-tip on the skin around your nails, being careful not to get it on your actual nail bed

3.) Now go ahead and paint your nails as usual

4.) Wait for polish to dry

5.) Use a new Q-tip to clean up any spillover of polish or Vaseline residue

Putting Vaseline around your nails will keep your polish from getting onto your skin, leaving you with a perfect manicure every time.
